Mission

Career guidance is an essential process that enables learners to discover their potential, define their goals and prepare for their academic and professional future. In the face of rapid changes in the labour market and increasing skill requirements, it must be integrated from secondary school onwards in order to offer each learner appropriate prospects.

At the International School of Mondorf-les-Bains, the Cellule d’Orientation et d’Intégration Scolaire (COI) is responsible for implementing this approach. In collaboration with the Maison de l’Orientation, families, businesses and various educational partners, it organises observation internships, workshops, interviews and personalised follow-up. The aim is to guarantee individualised and relevant support for each learner.

The main tasks of the COI are:

  • Providing information on courses, careers and study paths;
  • Analysing and providing support according to the interests, skills and needs of learners;
  • Supporting decision-making in terms of educational and career choices.

These missions are divided into four areas of action:

  1. Educational guidance (school and university courses)
  2. Career guidance (careers, internships, integration)
  3. Personal guidance (social skills, self-esteem)
  4. Social guidance (taking into account the cultural and economic context)

Thus, guidance at EIMLB aims to prepare each learner for a successful career path and professional integration consistent with their profile and aspirations.
