Mission

The Support Team accompanies and supports Learners with specific educational needs throughout their school journey. Beyond simple academic support, it is committed to listening, observing, and continuously assessing each learner’s needs, drawing on assessments, classroom observations, diagnostics, and regular dialogue with the people around them. The aim is to foster their autonomy, personal, relational, and social well-being, as well as their full participation in school life.

Its work is based on collaboration and trust: parents, Facilitators, and, when necessary, competence centres are closely involved in the follow-up. The Support Team also coordinates the administrative procedures required to obtain specific support or accommodations, and maintains the connection with the school Inclusion Commission (CI), the National Inclusion Commission (CNI), as well as with Brussels, regarding accommodations for the baccalaureate. By placing the Learner with specific educational needs at the heart of its mission, the Support Team provides guidance, support, and new opportunities, helping each one to find their place within the school community.

Every Learner has the right to succeed, to move forward with confidence, and to flourish in every aspect of their journey.
